Nomination Form
Authorized and administered by the Martin Riverside Society, the Indiana Gamma Hall of Fame was established in 1995
with the first class inducted at Homecoming 1996.
Number of Awards
A maximum of three people may be elected to the Hall of Fame in any one year. However, the award committee should not be
required to award the maximum number of alumni annually. The overall accomplishments of the alumnus should weigh heavily
in the consideration of this recognition.
Criteria For Selection
Any alumnus of the Indiana Gamma chapter may nominate a fellow alumnus for consideration by the selection committee.
Selection for the Hall of Fame is based upon significant contributions of the alumnus in his field or profession, and
significant activities or service to the community. Community may be defined as city, region, state, or nation. The award
shall be all-inclusive and not be tied to any one profession. Any alumnus receiving the award must be an initiated and
good-standing member of Indiana Gamma and the holder of a BSU degree. The degree requirement may be waived if a
non-degree nominee receives approval of two-thirds of the Martin Riverside Society Board of Directors.
Selection Committee
A committee of five Indiana Gamma alumni will be appointed to review nominations and select alumni to be awarded Hall of
Fame recognition. The committee will be appointed by the Chairman of the Martin Riverside Society Board of Directors. It
will include the members of the Board and two additional alumni who are not members of the Board or the Alumni Board. The
committee should represent five different graduation years from throughout the history of the Indiana Gamma chapter.
Time Line
Nominations will be sought annually from all alumni of Indiana Gamma. The review and selection of persons to be recognized
will be made at Homecoming each year for the following year’s class.
